Nick Cannon has provided a bit more context for his new song “Alone,” which is about his ex-wife, Mariah Carey.
He said he dropped the song on Val’s Day for all the people out there who are alone on the day of love.
He explained that the song, sampled from Mariah Carey, is not an attempt to get her back.”
Nick however said it was about taking accountability for how he treated her.
According to him, he had probably the greatest situation with his dream girl and he messed it up.
Cannon said that even though getting back together with Carey is “impossible”, he sees songwriting as a form of therapy.
He also jokingly said he was employing “Kanye West energy” to win his ex-wife back, though it hasn’t worked.
