Afia Schwarzenegger says she will contest Deputy Speaker of Parliament for Fomena seat

Afia Schwarzenegger, has expressed her intention to contest for the position of member of parliament for Fomena in the Ashanti Region.

Afia Schwarzenegger, who had visited her hometown, Adansi Fomena, to prepare for her late father’s funeral slated for March 12, 2021, posted a video of her tour of the town, accompanied by the caption, “I’m coming back to contest the Fomena seat in 2024”

The Fomena parliamentary seat is currently being occupied by Andrew Amankwah Asiamah who is also the current Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament.

Hon. Amankwah Asiamah was the only independent candidate who won a seat to represent a constituency in Parliament during the 2020 general election.
