After Mr Beautiful had complained that his photo was not used for the flyer for the ‘Galamsey movie’, even though he played a lead role in it, some people have reacted.
One of them is gospel artiste Sonnie Badu who wrote a comment under a post on Instagram: “If he was paid for the job, then the producer decides what to do.”
Movie director Peter Sedufia also wrote a post on Facebook to express his opinion on the matter.
“Seen lots of folks chastising the producer of the “Galamsey” movie for not putting Mr. Beautiful on the movie poster; as in Mr. Beautiful’s own word, “He’s the lead Actor”.
Me: And so what?
He even threatened that the producer will hear from his lawyers… I just laughed.🤣🤣
Who says a producer is obliged to use an Actor’s face on a movie poster, be it lead or supporting?
Now you want to decide for a producer how he should market his movie, or what material he should use to sell his own movie?
He could have decided to use a “Broom”, or “Bucket” as his poster image; that’s no actor’s business!
The goal of the Actor should be a focus on how to get people to go see your performance in the film, irrespective of what’s on the poster, so you get more gigs, and not fight over poster images. Lol.”
A video making the rounds captures Mr. Beautiful, rebuking movie producer Famous Films for not adding his image to the flyer of a movie he played a lead role in.
In a background that appears to be the premiere of the movie titled Galamsey, Mr. Beautiful, clearly enraged by the situation, vented his anger and would not keep calm even when people tried to cool him down.
