Gospel singer, Obaapa Christy, has apologized to her colleague, Stella Seal, whose name and image she published to promote a concert without her consent.
Stella Seal’s management had referred to Obaapa Christy’s promotional artworks intended to celebrate her 20th anniversary in the music industry as “fake” for including their artist without her knowledge.

Speaking in an interview with Hitz FM, Obaapa Christy admitted that Stella Seal was not contacted before her name was published, and apologised to the veteran singer, formerly known as Stella Doughan.
“First of all, Stella is a veteran, I am her daughter and I apologize for my mistake. If you explain things too much you might end up making too many mistakes. I had good intentions for what happened but it tuned out bad. I appreciate and respect Stella so much. I had plans of honoring some veteran musicians. It was never to only bring them for performances but it was just an oversight as I had already reached out to the majority of the male musicians who had already agreed to these plans,” she said.
