Gospel singer Piesie Esther experienced a wardrobe malfunction during her performance at the Taabea Ghana Music Awards UK 2023 on Saturday, October 7.
The Ghana Music Awards UK — sponsored by Taabea has been one of the most anticipated events on the calendar of Ghanaian musicians in both Ghana and the UK.
Iconic Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale was crowned Artiste of the Year at this year’s awards ceremony. The night saw delectable performances from Shatta Wale, Piesie Esther and Guru.
While delivering her performance on stage, Piesie Esther’s dress unexpectedly tore from the side. She displayed remarkable professionalism by not allowing the wardrobe malfunction to disrupt her performance.
She continued singing for her enthusiastic audience, even as she tried to cover herself up. Eventually, a coat was brought to cover her up, but by then, the damage had already been done.
The incident has sparked quite a buzz on social media, with many people praising Piesie Esther’s professionalism and her ability to keep her composure in a difficult situation.
Irrespective of the wardrobe malfunction, her performance was one of the best on the night. The peak of her performance was when she sang her hit song ‘Waye Mi Yie”
