Local, regional, state, and national dignitaries gathered to honour iconic American singer Usher at an event sponsored by Amazon.
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of his New Look Foundation at Clark Atlanta University, Usher was recognized for his musical achievements and his impactful humanitarian work.
Mayor Andre Dickens presented him with the Phoenix Award, while he was also honored with a plaque on the Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame.
Terreta Rodgers, Head of Amazon’s Community Affairs and a CAU alumnus, commended Usher for his philanthropy, pledging $25,000 to support the New Look Foundation’s efforts. Additional accolades came from Fulton County Commissioner Natalie Hall and Georgia State Senator Sonya Halpern, who awarded Usher the “Outstanding Georgia Citizen” title.
