#RNAQ40: Richard Quaye’s star-studded 40th birthday [Videos]

Accra’s Independence Square was transformed into a dazzling spectacle on Saturday, March 22, 2025, as Richard Nii Armah Quaye, founder of Bills Microcredit, celebrated his 40th birthday in grand style.

The event, hashtagged #RNAQ40, drew a constellation of celebrities, business magnates, and dignitaries from across Africa and beyond.

The evening was electrified by performances from some of Africa’s biggest musical talents.

Stonebwoy and Sarkodie set the stage ablaze with their dynamic acts, while Nigerian superstar Davido and Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz added international flair to the lineup.

The crowd was also serenaded by the smooth vocals of King Promise and Kidi, making it a night to remember.​

The guest list read like a who’s who of African prominence.

Traditional leaders, including the Ga Mantse Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, graced the occasion, underscoring the cultural significance of the event.

Business tycoons such as Dr. Osei Kwame Despite and members of the East Legon Executive Club were present, reflecting the high esteem in which Quaye is held in the business community.

The celebration also attracted luminaries from the creative arts sector, with Nigerian stars like Ramsey Nouah, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Ini Edo, and Rita Dominic adding a touch of cinematic glamour to the festivities.​

Richard Quaye’s penchant for luxury was evident throughout the event. Guests were treated to a visual feast of opulent decor, with each section of the venue meticulously designed to exude sophistication.

In the weeks leading up to the celebration, the businessman made headlines with the acquisition of a custom-branded private jet and a Bugatti Chiron, both bearing his initials, RNAQ, symbolizing his journey from humble beginnings to business magnate.

The event was not just a birthday celebration but also a convergence of influential figures from various sectors.
