An all-female crew, featuring pop star Katy Perry, journalist Gayle King, and Lauren Sanchez, safely returned from space on April 14 after a brief Blue Origin flight.
The mission, which also included aerospace engineer Aisha Bowe, CEO Amanda Nguyen, and producer Kerianne Flynn, marked another star-studded milestone for the company.
Jeff Bezos, the founder of Blue Origin, opened the capsule door to welcome the all-female crew back to Earth.
His fiancée, Lauren Sánchez, was the first to exit the capsule, where she was greeted with a hug from him.
Singer Katy Perry also kissed the ground upon landing to show her excitement.
The other women emerged filled with excitement and joy after their journey from space.
The mission, a first all-female space trip since 1963 and the only all-women crew, saw the women reach 100km (62 miles) above Earth – thereby crossing the Karman line, the boundary of space.
