The government is set to launch the much-anticipated Black Star Experience, a national cultural initiative aimed at celebrating Ghana’s rich heritage and creative excellence, on May 1, 2025, in Accra.
The announcement was made by Presidential Staffer and renowned highlife musician, Rex Owusu Marfo, popularly known as Rex Omar, through a social media post on April 29.
An initiative of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Black Star Experience seeks to showcase the depth and diversity of Ghanaian arts and culture through a series of events, festivals, exhibitions, and cultural exchanges.
It is also expected to foster unity, promote African creativity, and inspire a renewed sense of national pride.
Organizers say the experience will provide a vibrant platform for artists, creatives, and cultural stakeholders to tell the Ghanaian story through music, dance, fashion, film, and traditional expressions.
