Kelvin Ananzo, popularly known as Washing Bay Promoter, says he has no plans to quit his job as a washing bay attendant, even after Nigerian artist Davido promised him $5,000.
Ananzo, who works at a washing bay in Nzema, explained that the money he earns from washing cars is divided into three parts—he keeps one-third and gives the remaining two-thirds to his boss.
He also said that his monthly income varies and isn’t fixed.
In an interview on Ghana Weekend, Ananzo shared his ambition to become one of Africa’s biggest music promoters.
Despite this goal, he said he plans to continue washing cars because it’s part of his identity and brand.
“If I quit washing cars, it could affect my brand as a music promoter,” he explained, adding that his job is what makes him stand out in the industry.
However, he said he’s open to the idea of owning his own washing bay in the future.
