Gospel musician Empress Gifty has filed a lawsuit against evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, seeking GH₵20 million in damages over alleged defamatory statements made against her.
According to court documents, the singer claims Nana Agradaa repeatedly used her social media platforms to spread false and damaging information that harmed her reputation, career, and emotional well-being.
Empress Gifty, widely recognised for her contributions to gospel music in Ghana, alleges the defamatory remarks were made with malicious intent, causing significant personal and professional distress. Her legal team is demanding a retraction, an unqualified apology, and substantial GH₵20m monetary compensation.
The court has ordered Nana Agradaa to take down all defamatory videos from her social media accounts, underscoring the seriousness of the claims and the judicial response to protect the plaintiff’s reputation.
