French President, Emmanuel Macron appeared to be lightly pushed in the face by his wife, Brigitte Macron, as they landed in Hanoi, Vietnam, on Sunday evening.
The brief moment was caught on camera, showing Brigitte’s hands moving toward Macron’s face.
The President looked surprised for a moment but quickly composed himself and waved to onlookers below.
Sources at the Élysée Palace told French media the incident was a playful moment between the couple just before the start of their trip.
Macron said they were “just joking around, as we often do.”
