Business mogul Ibrahim Mahama delivered a rare moment of humour during the commissioning of Dr. Osei Kwame Despite’s world-class Automobile Museum on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in East Legon, Accra.

In a video sighted by Ghana Weekend,Ibrahim Mahama, in moments before a group photo, joked, “When I grow up, I want to be as rich as Despite and Cheddar.”

The remark, made in the company of Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar) and other top figures, drew laughter from guests, offering a lighthearted glimpse into the usually reserved entrepreneur.

The exclusive, strictly by invitation event saw the presence of prominent personalities including Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, NDC General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, former Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, MP Kennedy Agyapong, entrepreneur Cheddar (Nana Kwame Bediako), and businessman Ibrahim Mahama.

Members of the East Legon Executive Club and other distinguished guests also graced the occasion.

The museum, the first of its kind in Ghana and third in Africa, showcases a collection of iconic cars and aims to offer visitors a unique experience through automotive history and innovation.
