Celebrated Ghanaian dancehall artiste Emmanuel Andrews Sammini, known by his stage name Samini, has commended President John Mahama and the judiciary for their efforts in promoting accountability and justice in Ghana.

Speaking on in an interview on Joy Prime with George Quaye, the music icon expressed optimism about the country’s governance, declaring, “I’m a happy Ghanaian.”

Samini highlighted recent judicial actions holding public officials accountable, stating, “I like that people are being brought to book and justice is being served  or it seems like justice is going to be served.”

He emphasised his support for transparency, regardless of political affiliations, saying, “If you do anything dubious in public office, you should be brought to book.”

When asked about Mahama’s leadership, Samini noted, “The President and judicial system are doing a good job so far. That’s the area I’ve seen a lot of action.”

He remained cautious about broader policy evaluations, calling it “too early” to comment extensively.

The musician also expressed openness to supporting any political movement aligned with his values, including the emerging New Force party, if their policies promise strong governance.
