Ghanaian businessman and philanthropist, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, has donated GH¢50,000 in cash to Suzzy Adwoa Pinamang, the Adventist Senior High School student who recently returned to Ghana after undergoing eye surgery in the United Kingdom.
The donation is intended to support Suzzy’s living and recovery expenses as she continues to heal and prepare for a follow-up review scheduled for September.
The generous gesture has been met with overwhelming gratitude from Suzzy’s family and the entire community, who gathered to warmly welcome her home.
Suzzy, a form two student, was tragically shot in the eye earlier this year, a life-altering incident that required urgent and specialized medical intervention. Her life took a hopeful turn when Mr. Ibrahim Mahama stepped in to fully sponsor her travel and surgery at the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital in the UK — a global leader in eye care.
The surgery was successfully carried out, giving Suzzy a renewed sense of hope for her education and future.
Mr. Mahama’s gesture adds to his long list of quiet but impactful acts of kindness, reaffirming his commitment to improving lives through philanthropy.
