Kumawood actor, Sylvester Agyapong has been appointed Deputy Political Coordinator for the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC).
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, announced the appointment in a Facebook post on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, sighted by GhanaWeekend.
He wrote:
“Congratulations are in order! Today, I received Mr. Sylvester Agyapong, who has been appointed as a Deputy Political Coordinator for the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC). Sylvester has served diligently as a Communications Officer for the Kwadaso Constituency, demonstrating dedication, discipline, and a deep understanding of political coordination.
“His new role is a testament to his commitment and hard work. We wish him the very best as he takes on this important responsibility in service to the Region and the Nation.”
Sylvester, who is widely recognised for his roles in Kumawood movies, has now added a political office to his career portfolio.
