Ghanaian Songstress, Francisca Duncan Williams Gawugah, popularly known as Sista Afia, says she has stayed out of relationships for nearly eight years because of her attachment to one man who has never fully given her the love she hoped for.
Speaking on the Delay Show over the weekend, Sista Afia disclosed that her long period of singleness is tied to her feelings for a man who has not fully returned her affection.
“There’s someone I truly love, but he doesn’t love me back. Funny enough, while others would go all out just to be with me, the one I care for doesn’t,” she said.
According to her, despite showing commitment and making time for him, the man has not placed her as a priority in his life.
“We’ve been close for years, and I’ve proven my love, but he doesn’t give me the same attention. That’s why I always say I love him more than he loves me,” she added.
Sista Afia further revealed that the man knows about her feelings, but their bond has never grown into a serious relationship.
“I’m still single. He knows himself, and because of him, I haven’t been in a proper relationship for the past eight years,” she confessed.
