Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay isn’t holding back about her success. The award-winning musician has confidently declared that she is financially successful and can afford anything she desires, thanks to her thriving music career.
Speaking in an interview with Doreen Avio and Kwame Dadzie on Hitz FM on Tuesday, October 14, she stressed “I’m rich — and rich is also relative. When it comes to money, I have it. I can afford everything I want.”
Wendy Shay explained that her wealth comes solely from her music, without any external investors backing her.
“Everything you see is from the music. There’s so much money in music, and we’re still trying to let people understand that this is the goldmine of our time,” she added.
According to her, the music industry can be capital-intensive, but with consistency and hard work, it can also be highly rewarding.
She concluded by proudly affirming her position: “Of course, I’m the richest.”
