Business mogul and founder of Engineers and Planners, Ibrahim Mahama, has disclosed that his former private jet has been converted into an emergency air ambulance to serve Ghanaians.
In a video sighted by GhanaWeekend on Wednesday, March 4, Mr. Mahama was asked how he feels about his “old plane.”
Responding, he said: “My old plane? My old plane is at Air Ambulance now — Emergency Air Ambulance. For every Ghanaian, not for me alone, for every Ghanaian.”
His comments come shortly after news emerged that he has acquired a new multi-million-dollar Bombardier Global 6500.
The development has sparked conversations on social media, with some Ghanaians questioning the timing of such a high-value purchase, particularly as his brother, John Dramani Mahama, currently serves as President of Ghana.
However, Mr. Mahama’s clarification that his former jet is now being used as an emergency air ambulance suggests a shift from private luxury to public service, a move he says is intended to benefit “every Ghanaian.”
