Ten years after introducing ITALKOL to the Ghanaian market, Velo West Africa Group is celebrating a milestone that reflects more than business growth. It represents a decade of innovation, training, technical support, and a commitment to improving construction standards across the country.
Launched in 2016, ITALKOL was created to provide high-performance construction materials designed for African conditions while maintaining European manufacturing standards. Over the years, the brand has built a reputation for delivering tiling systems, waterproofing solutions, skimming products, industrial flooring systems, and decorative wall finishes to professionals across the construction sector.
For Managing Director Enkelejda Xhebexhiu, the company’s success has never been solely about products. Speaking during the anniversary celebration, she stressed that sustainable construction depends on a combination of quality materials, technical knowledge, skilled workmanship, and proper application practices.
This philosophy has guided Velo West Africa Group’s engagement with contractors, engineers, architects, artisans, and clients throughout Ghana. Beyond supplying products, the company has invested in training programs, live demonstrations, technical support, and on-site guidance aimed at strengthening industry capacity.
The company’s growth journey expanded further in 2021 with the launch of PIXEL PAINTS, a premium coatings brand offering architectural paints, decorative finishes, and waterproofing solutions formulated specifically for tropical environments.
The anniversary celebration also provided an opportunity to unveil the next phase of the company’s growth strategy. During the event, Benjamin Naas, Export and Business Development Manager at Etex Building Performance, announced the upcoming introduction of Siniat Lightweight Construction Solutions in Ghana.
Siniat, part of the Etex Group and recognized as one of Europe’s leading construction brands, will enter the market through a partnership developed from years of collaboration and shared market experience.
The partnership is expected to combine European technology, technical expertise, and training academy resources with Velo West Africa Group’s deep understanding of the local market, extensive distribution capabilities, and customer support infrastructure. Together, both organizations aim to support the growing demand for efficient, modern, and sustainable construction methods while contributing to the development of Ghana’s dry construction sector.
As the company reflects on its first decade, Ms. Xhebexhiu expressed appreciation to the clients, partners, contractors, engineers, architects, artisans, and employees who have contributed to the journey. According to her, the anniversary is not simply a celebration of past achievements. It is the beginning of a new chapter defined by innovation, capacity building, and advanced construction solutions that will help shape the future of Ghana’s construction industry.
