Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has taken to social media to ask for mobile money ahead of the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) National Delegates Congress which is slated for Saturday, December 17, 2022.
In a post sighted by Ghanaweekend.com on the 2020 NDC Flagbearer’s Facebook page, he(Mahama) stated that the donations will be used to fund the congress.
“The National Democratic Congress will hold its 10th National Delegates Congress on the 17th of December 2022 to elect a new set of National Executives for the party.
In all, about 9,000 constituency, regional and national executives who are the accredited delegates to the Congress will be transported to Accra and accommodated.
The party needs your support to fund this Congress.
I am inviting 500,000 willing Ghanaians, NDC supporters, sympathisers, and friends to donate a minimum of 10 Ghana Cedis each to help us fund the congress. You don’t have to be a member of the NDC to donate.

A total of 10,936 delegates from 276 Constituencies are expected to participate in all the activities including the election of national party executives.
Meanwhile, 8,964 delegates would partake in the party’s 10th National Congress, 886 and 1,086 delegates would participate in the women and youth conferences, respectively.
The theme is, Rallying for victory 2024; Ghana’s hope.
