Music producer Kwik Action has revealed that he was the one that introduced Stonebwoy to Highgrade boss Samini. Stonebwoy, a protege of Samini hit the limelight after he was featured on Climax by Samini.

But there is a story behind their relationship.

Kwik Action told Kojo Akoto Boateng on Citi TV’s ‘Saturday Live’ that he was the conduit that linked Stonebwoy to Samini, at a time he was fledgling and finding footing in the music industry.

“Far back as 2005, I was promoting Kwik Action Compilation. After an interview with Dr Duncan on Adom FM’s ‘Kasahare Level’, Dr. called me and said Stone wanted to work with me,” he said.

According to Kwik, Stone was fortunate to have met a lot of artistes like Tic Tac, Bright of Buk Bak, Kwaw Kese, Afro Moses, Shaha Marley, Adolf Tagoe and Samini in his studio.

When asked if he introduced Stonebwoy to Samini, he responded in the affirmative: “yes, I personally recommended Stonebwoy to Samini. It’s a fact. He cannot deny it,” he said.

“I recorded the first collaboration between Kwaw Kese and Stonebwoy. I recommended Stonebwoy to Kwaw and they did ‘Give Thanks and Praise,'” he added.

He said he started an album with a song called ‘Empress’ for Stonebwoy.

Kwik Action has done production for musicians like Cindy Thompson, Kwaadee, Samini, Buk Bak, Tic, among others.
