Sparqlyn who used to be Kele under the trio, Dunsin, is on a media tour promoting his latest song titled ‘Your Body’.
Touching on the issue of what caused the separation of his former group on Daybreak Hitz, he said it was necessary.
He said the separation was necessary for growth and free movement.
“It got to a time in our career the music was not paying us as a group and as men we are no longer boys, we are men. Some of us are close to 40, we need to survive, we need to feed our kids. Some of us have a family so an opportunity came. I took a job from a construction company”, he said.
“so I was working with the company so sometimes as a group if we have to go somewhere it becomes difficult for me sometimes “, he added.
He claims he is not the cause of the separation of the group as has been said over the years.
“I don’t see myself as problem…I didn’t choose to be out of the group”, he said.
He added that the communication wasn’t unanimous.
“Because we were not agreeing like the issue on board I think they were saying other things I was also saying another thing. It was like the communication was not going one side. I think I have my mind and I have my ideas, they also have their mind and their ideas so that’s how come we dissolved the group.
He further said there were impromptu agendas that interfered with his personal schedules although he refuted the claim that he was the problem.
“While with the Dunsin group, any time we had to go somewhere, we had to know days before the day but sometimes it came impromptu. And other times work did not give me the opportunity to be able to be with the group”, he stated.
He concluded that he is proud of the new group, ‘Evergriin’ is still doing well without him and that things are okay between them.
