Ghanaian actor, Don Little has disclosed in an interview with Graphic Showbiz that the movie industry does not pay and that for all the years he has been acting, he has nothing to show for.
According to him, the one reason keeping him the movie business is love for his fans and the appreciation they, in turn, show him.
He said all this predicament is because instead of paying actors who grace the screens with their talent and creativity, the directors pocket the monies.
“The movies do not pay at all and it’s because of the directors. They go for the money and refuse to pay me.
“I am just acting because I always want to entertain my fans but if it was for acting alone I would have quit doing movies long ago,” he lamented.
The actor believes he would have been thriving elsewhere in Nigeria or anywhere else in the world except he is in Ghana and even money for transport home after shooting a movie is hard to come by.
“I am still acting due to the endless love for my fans and the messages I receive anytime they watch my videos. In fact, they motivate me to keep doing what I am doing,” he said.
He, however, promises not to disappoint anyone who will be interested in investing in his acting career.
“I can act well and anyone who invests his money in me will not regret it,” he added.
