This year has been significantly big for Shatta Wale.
He has gained a number of international recognition from bad news to good.
Not too long ago he was featured on Beyoncé’s The Gift: Lion King Album on the song ‘Already’.
The latest honour for Shatta is winning the Reggae/Dancehall artiste and Artiste of the year titles at the just ended Ghana Music Awards UK (GMAUK).
The 4th of the annual Ghana Music Awards UK was held over the weekend to award hardworking and highly recognized artists, icons and entertainers.
The event which had over 30 categories saw Wiyaala, Burna Boy, Shatta Wale, King Promise, Evangelist IK Aning among others emerging as winners.
Popular faces such as Kwame A-Plus, Abrewa Nana and many more made appearances while Samini and a lot more energetic entertainers thrilled the audience to good performances.
From the list of winners produced by GMAUK on their instagram page, Dancehall ‘king’ Shatta Wale won three of the awards which included Artiste of the year, Reggae/Dancehall artist of the year and Popular song of the year (with his song My Level).
Samini won the special recognition honour, Wiyaala won Best International Touring Act.
