Dancehall act Shatta Wale has disclosed the motives behind his act of usually attacking colleague musicians.
He said he is pained when he sees musicians pretending to be doing well when everything is not alright in the industry.
He explained that his act is to cause change.
“It calls for change. Change of the industry and our attitude toward our work. I believe that most of them are not serious when it comes to music” he said.
Speaking on the Good Evening Ghana on Metro Tv with Paul Adom Otcherey, he said he has taken business so seriously that he does not find it pleasing when other artistes just joke around and then it gets to the period where some ‘oldmen’ will have to come out and beg for funds to cater for their deteriorating health and other financial situations.
“I’ve taken music so seriously so when I see most artistes pretending that the life is good for them which I know is not good cos our industry is not good for us and they come on tv and they brag, hype whatever. It makes me feel that pain that what are you trying to insinuate to the next generation? You’re making them feel like it’s good there,” he bemoaned.
