Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo has been missing from the movie scene for some time now.
She has explained that although she is hardly seen in new movies, she is on her fifth movie project for this year.
She said the industry is getting better and it’s been amazing for most actors this year.
“But funny enough this year I’ve been working I’m on my fifth project right now. At the moment I’m on set on a production called greetings from abroad smarty’s producing for Rock TV,” she told blogger Zion Felix.
She mentioned her new movie will be out in 2020 except she is not permitted to talk about it yet.
“So we’ve been working but unfortunately it’s either the movie is premiering so if it is not premiered you don’t get to see it and then if you don’t have DSTV to watch on Rock TV you don’t get to see. For those abroad they get to see us more often because they get the chance to subscribe and watch online; iroko tv online and everything but here in Ghana, it’s very hard and it has made the viewership for our movies go down a bit but the producers think they are selling since those abroad watch and online and everything so it’s fine,” she said.
“But I think at the moment I should plead with producers and directors to feature me in local series,” she added
When asked if she is interested in featuring in Kumasi series, she replied, “Oh not necessarily but I don’t mind but something for local tv so that people can see me more cos they feel I’m not working but I’m working so maybe if I do something that is constantly on tv, they’ll see that I’m working.”
She also said if she is paid and given a role to play in youtube short skits, she’ll take it.
