Dancehall act Epixode has disclosed that he did not know who Fantana was until the sanitary pad incident which happened last Saturday.
He said he does not have time on his hands to ay attention to everything that happens around him.
Speaking to the press statement Fantana issued on the showing of her pad at the Reign Concert, he said “truth be told I don’t know who the artiste is. I had to find out yesterday when I was listening to you. “I’m being honest. I didn’t know her.”
Epixode, in an interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM, said he knew the song ‘So What’ but did not know who it sang it.
“I thought it was one of Ebony’s songs cos it sounded like younger Ebony, like a weaker Ebony but then I had to find out who the person is and I think I’ve met her once but I didn’t know who the person was,” he added.
Clarifying why he claims to not know her, he said he is more concentrated on building his craft and widening his scope of knowledge.
“I’m not too much into that kind of sector. I actually spend time building my craft more and you’d be amazed I hardly even listen to dancehall songs when I’m home cos I feel like that one is already around me I need to actually learn more to widen the scope as an artiste so I don’t really pay attention to some of these things”
To firmly register he didn’t really know the act, he asked if her song is of the dancehall genre.
