Rufftown Records signee, Wendy Shay has been under social media attack more often than not for very trivial reasons.
Speaking about her trolling experiences she said her team, mother and pastors pray with her and encourage her to stand tall in the midst of challenges.
Meanwhile, she admitted she has really learnt a lot from the experiences and that if there is the need to fire her make up artiste when she gets backlash for her makeup, she would do so.
She told Samini Flex on ‘Real Talk’ that she has also become really conscious of whatever she posts on the internet so she does not invite trolls.
“The constructive criticisms shake me but the trolls and the negative ones, make me very cautious not to make the same mistakes that I have committed; about my dressing, about so many things, about my makeup,” she said.
“If I have to fire my makeup artiste then find a new one, I will because I’m doing it for the public too. I need to take their interest also as my interest. That’s the most important thing to me,” she added.
She admitted that some of the negative comments really got to her and she had to learn to contend with the repercussions.
“The dumb question saga really taught me a lot, how to handle situations under circumstances and also my dressing, to wear appropriate stuff. Last time at the YEA launch you could testify that I was wearing a very decent dress that was appropriate to the occasion so I’ve really learnt a lot,” she concluded.
The ‘Uber Driver’ hitmaker was all over social media when she blatantly told off a journalist with the excuse that she was being asked a dumb question.
She told the interviewer, MzGee “they should accept me for who I am as Wendy Shay’ and when MzGee asked ‘Who are you as Wendy Shay?’, she replied ‘This is a dumb question’, asked that the interview be cut and walked off the set.

She was also in the news for wearing an inappropriate dress to visit ex-president J A Kufour and posting a picture from the visit with an ‘unacceptable’ caption.
Aside from those instances, she trended for wearing jeans and makeup to the gym, among other occurrences.
