Lynx Entertainment signee Kuami Eugene has lamented about how Ghanaians enjoy controversies and blow things out of proportion.
This was in reference to a video of him that trended where he inflated the price of his Zara shoe.
Speaking to the matter, he said the act was done to get people talking and Ghanaians fell for it as expected.
He believes the extent to which the video went is a plot to bring his career to an end because the shows he graced were not even the talk of the town yet his ‘yawa’ trended for days.
He told Mercury Quaye on Hitz FM that “the fact that people know that I’m making fan but it sounded like this is an opportunity to go against the young boy, let’s all come together and fight now that we’ve gotten something that’s evidential we can say he did this and it’s wrong. Let’s all come together.”
He said that before that video was out, they even discussed it backstage that he was going to mention the wrong price.
“I know checking the price of a Zara shoe is just a text away. I’m that smart enough to know that checking the price of a Zara shoe is just a text away but the fact that I’m playing and people actually think this is serious we can use this news to pin him down,” he added.
He concluded by saying the love for controversies is what pushes up and coming actresses to post nude videos of themselves, lie about the price of their hair, among other things to be in the news because they don’t get seen only based on their talent.
