The campaign to eat locally produced rice has been on for a while and now louder since the festive season is almost here.
Apart from Citi FM/ Citi TV’s Samuel Attah Mensah who has made himself the Ghana Rice ambassador and has gone as far as treating his staff to local rice dishes, a lot others have joined the campaign especially on social media.
The newest to add his voice is the ‘Ragga Dada’, Samini.
In a video that has surfaced on Facebook, he can be seen sweating in the hot sun with rice in his hands (sweat probably from working on the farm).
He added his voice to the growing campaign by saying, “On this note, rice from Ghana is what all Ghanaians must eat both home and abroad. This is rice from Ghana and if we start patronizing rice from Ghana from today, in the next 20 years or even less you’ll be surprised what the Ghanaian economy is going to be like”
“Watch out for my own brand of rice” he added.
