Nigerian radio presenter, Olisa Adibua has made really damning revelations he has gathered concerning Ghana entertainment industry.
The country Ghana known for her hospitality and peace all the while has had a bad image stored in the minds of her neighbour, Nigeria.
While hosting Joey B and GuiltyBeatz on Beat 99.9 FM the presenter cum producer told them the information he had.
According to the reports and his observations, Ghanaians do not like to allow the Nigerians in the entertainment space.
“It seems like they don’t like Nigerians coming through as I heard there were one or two issues that happened with the Cardi B show as well,” he said
He talked about how some Nigerians plan not to come to Ghana with their shows anymore especially after some shows they tried to organize were sabotaged.
He mentioned that he did not plan to reveal too much but somehow found it necessary to make them know what the masses are saying out in Nigeria.
“I heard some things that were not very good. Because if you behave like that in AfroNation, no one is going to come back to Ghana with a show again because a lot of people have said now they’re not coming to Ghana with their shows anymore because when they come to Ghana the people there try to sabotage the shows.
“Some things happened during the AFRIMA time, some things happened with the Cardi B show, some stuff like. There’s some element within the rights of the entertainment scene there, they’re not very…” he noted
The television executive producer also pointed out his observation of Ghana entertainment industry lacking togetherness.
“And also that idea that there’s a lot of animosity within the community of your music scene as well. There’s no brotherly and sisterly love going on there as well. That’s the vibe I got when I was there because I spent a lot of time there last year and it was not a good vibe at all. I’m not talking about Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale because that one has been squashed already.
“But before there was a vibe that people don’t like to see other people succeed,” he said.
He concluded by asking them if they have tasted the Nigerian Jollof already.
Joey B the ‘Tonga’ hitmaker who obviously did not know what to say only fumbled, trying to find the right words to defend the accusations he was hit with.
After the interview, he tweeted a video of the experience with the caption, ‘hmm’ on which his tweeps shared mixed reactions and opinions.
