Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has said the coronavirus pandemic has taught him that humans do not have control over what the universe holds and that one needs to take life seriously.
According to him, the coronavirus was not taken seriously from the start until it became too late, adding that he planned a tour not knowing what the future had in stock.
The ‘Year of Return’ hitmaker who is in the United States has assured his fans that he is safe where he is and that there is hope to survive the pandemic despite its intensity.
“Obviously, you guys know that we are in serious times with this whole coronavirus thing,” he stated. “In the beginning, we didn’t take it seriously. I think it’s really getting intense.”
He also used the opportunity to announce he will continue to release songs thanks to the internet.
“We need to take things seriously because I didn’t know I was going to cancel my tour.
Obviously, I’m not going to be doing concerts anytime soon but I’ll keep the music coming through the internet.”
Adding his voice on staying safe to prevent the spread of the disease, he urged his fans to take precautions and follow the directives from the government.
“I would like to urge everyone to take precautions very seriously. Let’s stay safe. My heart goes out to those who have lost their family and God bless their soul.”
