Musician Sista Afia has warned Freda Rhymz to not ever mess with her image.
The ‘You Got Nerves’ rapper replied Freda in her song but claimed she did not mention her name and that she expected Freda to call and inform her before throwing shots at her.
She noted that she would never throw shots as Freda did to any woman- “that shot is not something I’ll do to a fellow woman.I’ll never do that…You’ve gone too far.”
According to her, she felt pained especially because Freda insinuated in her ‘Point Of Correction’ that she slept with some people in the industry.
After the two almost fought at the premises of TV3, they both appeared on United Showbiz where Nana Ama McBrown tried to settle the beef between them.
“Well let me tell you my problem with you. My problem with you is that you keep messing with my brand. Don’t mess with my brand. Don’t ever again,” she addressed Freda on the United Showbiz.
After explaining to Afia that beef had no formula and that Freda did no wrong by jumping on the hype, Afia replied “I’m not a rapper so I don’t need to understand it. I’m an emotional singer, I’ll take that… How can I tarnish your image and the next day I’ll be smiling with you? I’m taking it personally [sic] and I’m emotional.”
Explaining how the fight in TV3 almost happened, Sista Afia stated that she was trying to talk settle issues with Freda when her manager alerted her that she was running late for her interview.
While walking away, Freda said “Let the old lady in”, this comment, Sista Afia said pissed her off and she flared up.
“When I was entering, I told my manager I need to speak to Freda as the friend that she used to be with me. I just needed to speak to her and then my manager was like no, we’re late let’s go inside right now. She was just like a few metres away from me, she was not that far so anything that she said, I could hear.
“I heard her say, let the old lady in first and it triggered me. So, I wanted her to say that to my face,” she explained.
However, Freda debunked her claims saying the comment was not directed to Afia and that she was referring to her own images on the phone after taking pictures that did not turn out well.
