Shatta Wale’s manager, Bulldog has stated that if he was Shatta Wale, he would have beaten the SM militants before sacking them.
He noted Shatta Wale signed them because “he needs to leave a legacy so he wanted to help but sometimes these lads when they come, they are not serious”.
According to him, the militants were signed during the time he fell out with Shatta Wale but when they patched things up, he advised that he sacks them because they did not come across as artistes who were interested in the work as much as the glory.
Speaking to Nana Ama McBrown on UTV, he said, “we parted ways for a while and we got back together. When I came back, he had already signed them. The first thing I told him is to fire all of them. Sack them because my work ethics are different”
“And when I see talent I identify one so if you’re a talent who is not enthused about the work but the show, I don’t think you want to excel. So, they possessed that. Immediately I came, I told him, these boys, no”
He added that Shatta wale endured them for long before finally letting them go. “He tried a lot. If it were me, I’d beat you before I sack you,” he stated.
In a Facebook live video this week, Shatta wale confirmed that the militants including Natty Lee, Addi Self, Captan, and Joint 77 are no more part of his Shatta Movement group.
In the video, he said they are fond of backbiting and not hard-working, adding that he cannot work with such people.
He also said all the songs that the Militants released, he was the one that wrote every line for them.
One popular song they are known to have featured Shatta Wale on is the ‘Taking Over’, the song that introduced them to the music scene.
