There is no denying the fact that Stormzy’s feature on Yaw Tog’s ‘Sore’ remix gave him a lot of international recognition.
However, some have also argued that the British Grime artiste got a lot of reach in Ghana when he jumped on Yaw Tog’s song.
Speaking to MzGee on TV3, Yaw Tog admitted that Stormzy gave him more exposure by doing a song with him but added that he also made him more popular inGhana.
“He [Stormzy] made me more popular in this market, you feel me, and I made him more popular here too because people didn’t know Stormzy in Ghana so we both did magic to ourselves and our brands,” he said.
Yaw Tog caught the world’s attention with the release of his song ‘Sore’. This got Stormzy interested in his craft and decided to do a remix with him.
Stormzy even went to Kumasi to shoot the video of the song which also had Kwesi Arthur on.
