Gospel singer, Celestine Donkor, has warned Ghanaians to desist from being self-centered and wishing for their success at the expense of everyone else.
In a video posted via her official Instagram page, the singer, who recently won the award for Female Artiste of the Year at the 2021 Ghana National Gospel Music Awards stressed that people who want to be the only successful members within their families must also be aware of the financial ramifications that will come along with it.
She said Christians must support themselves and avoid unnecessary competitions with the intention to outperform each other.
“If you keep telling God that you want to be the most successful person in your family, you must note that only one funeral can cripple you financially when you are the only rich person.”
Celestine Donkor, who was giving her opinion on selfishness in prayer, urged Christians to pray for the success of all.
