Many were left confused on Monday, October 4, 2021, when Whatsapp, Instagram, and Facebook stopped working shortly before 4:00 pm Ghana time.
For Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, the disruption of service was time for fun as he goofed around while announcing the outage in Twi.
The outage of the popular applications received global attention, as users of WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram applications could not view posts on refresh, while WhatsApp messages could not be sent or received.
Services were however restored across all platforms after almost eight hours.
