Veteran broadcaster Kwesi Kyei Darkwah popularly known as KKD says he would have loved to be a judge if he didn’t take up a job in media, branding and tourism.
KKD, affectionately called His Royal Blackness, said on the Upside Show on Citi TV that he loves fairness, and that is the reason he would have chosen law.
He said if he hadn’t gotten into broadcasting, he would have done “brand management, culture and tourism management or maybe be a judge.”
“It’s only after I hit 30 that I realised that maybe I could have gone to do law and become a judge because I like fairness, I like honesty. I think judges are very important in every society. If you have corrupt judges your society will fail,” he said.
Also on the show, he touched on professionalism in the media space. He said he detests how local language-speaking media companies, equate speaking in vernacular to breaking the rules of the profession.
KKD has won a lot of spurs in the showbiz industry as one of the finest broadcasters the country has ever had.
He is also known for hosting most of the high-profile events in the country, not forgetting his exquisite sense of fashion.
