Hitz FM presenter, Maximus Addae Mensah, popularly known as Dr. Pounds, has said that he did not spend a dime on his plush wedding which was held last year.
Speaking to Deloris Frimpong-Manso on the Delay Show, Dr. Pounds said even though his wedding came with a lot of pomp and pageantry, he did not spend his own money in putting the programme together.
“I didn’t pay a dime; my friends were there for me,” he said.
He said because he established good relationships with people, they availed themselves for him at the wedding.
According to him, people he did not even invite to the wedding were present.
Dr. Pounds got married on May 22, 2022, in Cape Coast.
The wedding saw a lot of celebrities and showbiz personalities in attendance.
After the traditional wedding and the white wedding, he also held a dinner in the night. There were performances from musicians such as Kofi Kinaata, Wendy Shay, Kuami Eugene, KiDi, among others.
