Celebrated Ghanaian musician, Kojo Antwi, says he believes real singers do not do ‘bangers’.
“A real singer would love to do ballads, would love to do mid-tempo, and the up-tempo kind of beats, bangers don’t give you that privilege”, he said in an interview on Takoradi-based Empire FM.
He noted that singers should rather produce songs that enable them to express their vocal prowess, unlike bangers which are often driven by high beats per minute, something which has become the order of the day.
He said when ‘azonto’ was in vogue, he released his song titled ‘Me Dware’ which was the polar opposite of the trend, however, it was able to make waves.

In recent times most musicians especially singers, owing to the pressure from their fans, are forced to release bangers also termed as singles which do not depict their core talent.
According to, Kojo Antwi, he does not subscribe to releasing singles as he disclosed he will soon bring out another album.
The yet-to-be-released album comes to add to his rich discography of eleven studio albums.
