Ghanaian gospel musician Celestine Donkor has said in a press statement that relationship with Empress Gifty is a good one.
This comes after some alluded to claims that she had shaded Empress Gifty in an interview on Adom FM.
In the said interview with Mike 2, Celestine’s opinion was sought on how realistic or otherwise it was for a gospel artste to shoot a music video for $40,000.
In her response, she said she would rather invest that amount of money in rice business than push it into a music video production.
Those who had already heard Empress claim she shot her ‘Eye Woaa’ video at a cost of $40,000 then started interpreting Celestine’s comment to mean an attack on her colleague gospel musician.
However, Celestine in a new post has stated that she did not even know Gifty had said that in an interview and the host did not mention Gifty; he asked a generic question.
Check her post out below:
My attention has been drawn to publications suggesting that I spited my colleague and sister Empress Gifty in a recent interview on Adom FM.
I want to state in all honesty that my response and opinions shared in the interview have nothing to do with my sister Empress Gifty and that I have nothing against her.
It is rather unfortunate that my expressions and opinions have been misunderstood and misinterpreted.
I want to establish that Empress and I have a very healthy relationship, one that cannot be ruined by issues like this.
I humbly asked that fans who may have felt disappointed in any way should take it easy and ignore the defaming headlines.
I also want to assure everyone that this will never spoil my relationship with my sister Empress Gifty in Jesus’ name.
