Jeremiah Lartey, a fashion designer and entrepreneur in the fashion industry, who specializes in designing bespoke garments for men, has cemented his hard work with an award.
With the brand name Jerry Afrik, he won the Discovery Entrepreneur of the Year (Male Category) award at the Global Business and Entrepreneurship Summit and Awards held on 30th October 2021 at La Palm Royal Beach hotel.
He won this award for being the emerging male fashion designer and entrepreneur who has created an opportunity for business and is working hard to create a brand in the fashion industry.
He has been able to reach out to some celebrities through his fashion designing work to make an impact for himself in a brief period in the fashion industry in Ghana, despite the risks and challenges encountered.
He told ghanaweekend.com that the award means so much to him because it gives clear evidence that his work in the industry is appreciated.

The Discovery Entrepreneur award winner Jeremiah Lartey started his work in 2016.
He studied Business (Accounting) during his days in Senior High School after which he worked at a credit union Salem Cooperative Credit Union assisting the organization with keeping good records to effectively manage their operational activities.
During his work with the Credit Union, he developed the desire to venture into entrepreneurship and so became the manager at Classpee market, a business involved in offering goods at discounted prices and affordable deals to the market.
He once worked as a celebrity fashion designer for Mr. Kwesi Asempa of Onua TV on his morning show. He also became the official designer for Kleff Maxwell Justice, the Royal Host on Joy Prime TV, designing clothes for him to feature on his weekly shows.
Apart from these, he has been designing clothes for people across Ghana and America and aims to expand to other countries.
Jeremiah is looking forward to creating a unique brand that will appeal to his clients and meet their specific needs.
