Policy makers failed to take advantage of Shatta Wale’s collabo with Beyoncé – Kojo Antwi

Ghana’s maestro, Kojo Antwi, has complained about Ghanaians not supporting their own.

He said on Asaase Radio that, unlike Nigerians, Ghanaians are not serious about projecting the good things they have.

He cited the aggression with which Nigerians are taking over the world’s entertainment space.

According to him, Ghanaians did not take advantage of Shatta Wale’s feature on Beyonce’s song.

“Beyonce’s team chose Shatta Wale to do a collaboration on the ‘Already’ song and chose Guiltybeatz and that was a great move for Ghana. Not just Shatta and Guiltybeatz. The policymakers should have seen that this is a move to find a way to push some of the young ones in, so Ghana will get there,” he said.

Shatta Wale and Beyonce

He also noted that Ghanaians are not able to do this because of factions and politics.

‘Already’, released in 2019, is a song by American singer Beyoncé that features Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale and American trio Major Lazer from the 2019 album The Lion King: The Gift.

It featured in the 2020 film Black Is King.
