Body enhancement has gained currency in the Ghanaian showbiz scene, with some women coming out to share their experiences.
Recent to have told her story, is Kisa Gbekle, a moviemaker, who recounted how she traveled out of the country to have parts of her body worked on to suit the shape she wants.
In the wake of this, some have said, it is a matter of choice and that whatever one decides to do with their bodies is nobody’s business.
However, Ghanaian actress, Pascaline Edwards, has said in an interview with Kojo Preko Dankwah on Kessben FM (Accra) that is it unwise to engage in such an act.
“God is reasonable. That is why He created you the way you are. What is sad is how recently some women are enhancing their bodies. Are we trying to say God is not an artiste, or he doesn’t know how to create? They are shaping their noses, their mouths, disorganising their intestines,” she noted.

Pascaline quipped that at 52, she is proud of her ‘sagging’ body and will never do anything to alter how God created her.
Pascaline Edwards is known for her roles in movies such as ‘A Stab in the Dark’, ‘Forbidden Fruit’ (2000), ‘The Mask’, ‘House Arrest’, ‘My Father’s Wife’ (1998), ‘Messages’, ‘Deadline for Asante’, ‘Without Her Consent’, and ‘Jewels’.
