Nigerian artiste, Burna Boy, appeared on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah a few days ago, and he’s already making headlines for his responses.
When Trevor said Nigerian artistes have projected themselves to the world to the extent that other artistes from across the world are trying to emulate what Nigerians are creating, Burna boy retorted, “except our government.”
Obviously, Burna Boy is one of the many Nigerians who are not enthused about governance in the country.
The Nigerian government and leaders have, over the years, been lambasted by the citizens for not serving the citizenry well.
The citizens have complained about poor electric power supply, unbridled corruption, injustice, nepotism, among a blizzard of typical African leadership diseases.
Burna Boy, is one of the artistes in Nigeria who has in recent times placed their music on the world map.
In 2021, his ‘Twice as Tall’ album was adjudged the Best Global Music Album at the Grammy Awards.
He has performed on top international platforms and features some of the world’s giants in music.
