Gospel musician Diana Hamilton has said that throughout her music career, she has never given monies to radio DJs or presenters to play her music.
She told Agyemang Prempeh on Power FM that she has built a good relationship with the DJs and presenters, so she does not need to give them money to play her songs.
“I believe in relationships. Maybe my personality may not allow me to call everyone every day but if you are my friend I treat you as a friend, so I call you on an ordinary day, or I will hear it is your birthday and if I have the ability I will send you a present or buy you a cake,” she noted.
“I believe in relationships because if I have to pay you, I cannot pay you,” she added.
Diana intimated that she would usually do that not because she wants to influence the presenter, a reason she usually does that when she does not have a new song to promote.
“So if anybody says I gave him or her money to lay my song, it will be nice for the person to come out,” Diana further stated.
Diana Hamilton is known for songs like ‘Osoro Bekasa’, ‘Ensi Wo Yie’, ‘Work in Progress, ‘Adom’, among others.
