When rap and ragga music styles were gaining ground in Ghana in the late 90’s, Sonni Balli was one of the few peole that championed the craze.
Unfortunately, information reaching Ghana Weekend indicates that he has passed on.
While the music industry celebrates his achievements, Ghana Weekend presents some of the mind-blowing features he did during the early days of the ragga movement.
(1). He was featured on Adidede by Mary Agyapong
(2) He was also featured on Slim Busterr’s ‘Georgina’
(3). In 2012, he was featured on Zigi’s ‘Amanda’
(4). Together with the G-Life group they produced songs like ‘Wate N’ani Ayera’ and ‘Ko Na Menko.’
Aside from that, he has songs like ‘All the See’, ‘When You Are Gone’, ‘Bend No Rule’, among others.
