Samini has apologised to a security guard at the University of Ghana after ridiculing him for denying him access to the premises.
The dancehall artiste who is a student of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) recounted that he left his entry pass in his other car but expected that the security guard would consider him and allow him to enter.
Samini who looked surprised that the security man did not care about his celebrity status by allowing him entry, decided to record the incident and post it on social media.
After denigrating the young man in the video, he was heavily mauled for his action.
He later came back to suggest that the guard wanted to take something from him but he still could not go scot-free.
Realising his mistake, he wrote: “After my post about the incident at the security gate, I’ve realised a majority of you advised that I should have done the right thing. Nothing makes my case right, regardless of how many cards I have, and how upset I got. Apologies to the young man doing his job.”
While some have congratulated him for the gesture, others have also berated him for trying to use his social status to break a normal procedure.
