Obaapa Christy doesn’t want me to see our children – Pastor Love

About twelve years after their divorce, Pastor Hammond Love, the former husband of gospel musician Obaapa Christy, has expressed worry over the lack of access to the three children he has with the singer.

He told Christian Agyei Frimpong on Onua FM that the youngest of the three children was two years old when he last saw her.

Pastor Love who is the General Overseer of the Life Power Miracle Church said after the divorce the court granted both of them custody of their children. However, after relocating to Germany and marrying another man, Obaapa Christy has prevented him from seeing the children.

“My last child was two years when she took her to Germany. Now she is 14 years old. I’ve not seen her since they left. I’ve left everything to God. I will not fight over them because if I do, Ghanaians will lend their support Obaapa Christy,”  he said.

The man of God, whose recent TikTok videos have raised suspicion of ‘broken-heartedness’ strongly believes that the children will look for him when they grow.

“The judge who presided over our divorce case gave the two of us custody. The children are grown now. More or less. I’m denied access to the children. I don’t want to pursue the issue because in our part of the world if you follow some of these issues to the latter, the outcome would be terrible.

“I’ve let it slide, and I’m okay. I’m not the first person to go through such trouble. I’m not the only person and won’t be the only person who has gone through and will go through. In our society, when you are no more with a woman, that is how they usually behave,” he noted.

In the meantime, Obaapa Christy (formerly Christiana Love) has said that she is happily married to her new husband Nana Franke, and has no regrets about leaving Pastor Love.

Prior to their divorce, allegations were rife that Pastor Love had abused the gospel singer and even raped his sister-in-law and house help.

He also alleged that his wife had extra-marital affair with another man anytime she traveled outside the country for concerts.

Pastor Love asserts that the man Obaapa was cheating on him with, is the one she is currently married to.
